Luxury Casino treads a similar path to other brands within the Rewards group, with a few subtle differences. Much like Captain Cook’s Casino and Zodiac, you need to download bespoke software before you can play, and it’s all powered by MicroGaming who provide all the games too. As the name suggests, however, it’s billed as a more upmarket offering that will appeal to high rollers and more serious players. That philosophy is reflected in the welcome bonus, which is structured differently from those other sites and thus promoted differently too. The intentions are clear, but does Luxury Casino bring genuine variation to one of the most prominent casino groups that’s currently in operation? Let’s find out.

If I were answering the question I posed in the introduction to this review based on looks alone, I’d say ‘not really’. When I first opened and played at Luxury Casino UK, I had a very definite sense of Deja Vu. Thankfully, Rewards ensure that it’s swift and easy to download the software, so it’s only a few minutes before you get your first glimpse of the casino. Like its siblings, you get a brief animated introduction that appears in a pop up the overlay, and it’s tailored to the theme of the site. So, what did they decide to provide just how luxurious this casino is? They took a posh looking logo (complete with diamond), and nattily superimposed it on to a credit card! We’re not convinced that this alone ensures that Luxury Casino rivals the Ritz, but it’s an apt enough start to your experience. And you can start skipping it on repeated visits.

Intro apart, the casino layout is also familiar fare. You enter a virtual lobby, from which you can access a number of menu items, which are lined up across the bottom. These lead to different sections of the site, such as games, promotions, the cashier etc. The icons the design team use are nigh on identical to those found at other casinos in the group’s canon, further breeding the feeling of familiarity. When you enter a section, it opens in a separate tab on a somewhat dated looking interface, and the images that greet – for example – the different games subsections are a bit too bright to be considered ‘Luxury’. When you do open a game, however, the colours are bright and vivid on both computers and mobile devices. Overall, it does feel like a minor reworking of templates used elsewhere in the Rewards group. I can’t help but think they missed a branding trick in truth. The site looks fine, but they could have worked harder to more readily reflect the site’s name in visuals of the casino.

The Luxury Casino login is via a downloadable app. Regular readers of 777 Casino may have noticed my aversion to download only casinos. However, mercifully, the Rewards Group does always make it quick and easy to install the relevant software. When I say fast, I am talking seconds, so it’s certainly no particular hassle. The registration form is similarly straightforward, and I was in and playing within a couple of minutes. The casino does suffer from some of the other download-only pitfalls. The visuals are slightly grainy, and the organisation is affected too, Like some of its sister sites, Luxury Casino lacks significant filtering options in the games section. Plus, you ‘download’ games one by one, albeit instantly if you want to play one straight away. It’s easy to be negative about these points, but I should point out this. Luxury Casino is very easy to navigate beyond those quirks. It’s logically arranged in sensible sections, and I had no problem finding my way around.

Again, if you’ve played at other casinos in the group, then you’ll be familiar with the look and feel of the site. There’s a template here, and the Rewards Group team tend to stick to it. There’s isn’t a no deposit bonus, so you’ll need to deposit if you want to start playing. The ‘bank’ section is nicely designed though, with clear instructions and quick processing times. Deposits and withdrawals are done using debit cards, skrill Neteller, Diners Club, Paypal and a few more. Check our banking options at the bottom of this review for more details.

Withdrawals are similarly painless when the time comes. The games collection would benefit from some important filtering options, but thumbnails are bold and ripe for browsing. You can also view games in an alphabetical list if you find it easier. We should mention the mobile site at this juncture too because it’s even better than the desktop version for our money also. It would be remiss of me to finish this section without sharing one concern though. The first time I used the desktop site, I kept getting a message saying that I needed to ‘Repair’ the casino. I clicked the necessary button but was told that it couldn’t be repaired at that time. Only logging out seemed to do the trick, but after one more server error when I logged back in, it’s been fine since. Let’s hope it was just my PC, not a universal issue.

The desktop and mobile app allows you access the Luxury Casino instant play features. The casino games are neatly (read simplistically) list on one page. No complex filters here list the game and the payout rate. There are 44 versions of blackjack, ten different roulette titles, including European Roulette and Multi Wheel European Roulette, 49 video poker games and over a dozen progressive jackpots. Live dealer games cover Live American Roulette, Live Dream Catcher and Live Three Card Poker to name a few. There is enough variety to keep players occupied.

You can list both advantages and disadvantages for online casinos that throw all their eggs into one basket. By trading exclusively as a MicroGaming casino, Luxury Casino precludes diehard NetEnt, Play N’ Go and Playtech fans from its roster. However, if you like your MicroGaming slots and tables games, then it’s great to have a full collection in one place. Of course, there are lots of MicroGaming gaming software disciples out there too. We’re fully subscribed members of that group. The quality and variation of their slots can never be called into question. You can play all the favours at Luxury Casino, including big-hitting jackpots like Mega Moolah and Major Millions.

They’ve also incorporated a ‘temperature’ rating against their slots, in an attempt to direct players towards games that are more likely to pay out. This is always an interesting function, although we’re not sure how accurate these ‘predictive’ tools can be. The function sits in the Games View section of the site, which is my favourite for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it provides the most user-friendly access to the complete suite of games in stock at Luxury Casino. Secondly, it is also home to the ‘Tournaments’ section, from which you’ll find all sorts of regular competitions that will spice up your gaming experience. You’ll get a real flavour for the sheer volume of MicroGaming slots in the Luxury Casino catalogue in this Games View too. It’s well worth a peek.

Some of the online casinos in the Rewards Group have made a name from themselves off the back of their welcome bonuses. Some of them famously offer X amount of chances ‘to win the jackpot’ for the price of a fairly small first deposit, a bonus that appeals to a wide range of players. As we said at the outset, Luxury Casino is meant to bring something different to the Group, however. It’s designed to attract higher value players (they say ‘high rollers’ but that may be a bit too grandiose), and they’ve structured the welcome bonus differently as a result.

It all starts with a 100% first deposit bonus up to £150 and proceeds through four more reload bonuses of differing sizes. You can collect up to £1000 in cash across them all, depending on how much you deposit. Big spenders might see the worth in that, but this bonus in no way excludes more casual players. Luxury Casino’s min deposit amount is just £10, a paltry amount compared to some. The negative? Well, the 1st deposit bonus is subject to x60 wagering requirements – which is high – although subsequent reload bonuses are pegged at x30. Here’s how their welcome bonus is broken down in full:

• 1st Deposit match- 100% Bonus up to £150
• 2nd Deposit – 50% Bonus up to £200
• 3rd Deposit – 25% Bonus up to £300
• 4th Deposit – 50% Bonus up to £200
• 5th Deposit match- 100% Bonus up to £150

Well, once you’ve downloaded the casinos, you might as well! I say that only partially in jest, it is super easy to open up the casino once it lives on your desktop (as well as on your mobile and tablet). It’s certainly worth coming back as a newly registered player to given that those four additional reload bonuses are up for grabs. Whether the site warrants further, repeated visits probably depends on how much you like MicroGaming slots. There is plenty to keep you amused if you do. Those tournaments are worth another mention – you’ll often find a dozen or more running at the same time. Luxury Casino also tailors bonuses to its player base, so it’s worth checking the ‘My Promotions’ section regularly to see that in action. It’s also a safe and secure site, with excellent customer service. We doff our cap to any online casino that’s happy to publish RTPs for all its games too.

Luxury Casino is a multi-platform site that’s available on Android smartphones, iPhones and Ipads as well as desktop devices. You can play the Luxury Casino mobile casino from your browser too, so there’s no need to download an app (in contrast to the desktop site), so it’s super easy to sign up and start playing while you’re on the move. This is also where it pays to be powered by MicroGaming. They have always been at the forefront of the mobile market, and their inclusion here means you have a great selection of fully optimised games, which you can play from your small screen device.

I’ve found the review interesting to write. I approached Luxury Casino having played at Captain Cook’s Casino and Zodiac Casino regularly. Like them, it’s a download-only casino, and it shares a lot in common with both in other respects too. They look similar and arranged virtually the same. However, those two have a massive selling point in their welcome bonus, while Luxury Casino tries to do something a bit different. Bonuses on your first five deposits? That’s generous, but you can find similar offers elsewhere. It doesn’t have the unique bonus of its siblings. That said, its near-complete suite of MicroGaming games, multiple tournaments and tailored bonuses are compelling reasons to choose it over other sites. Other than the odd glitch, it was a solid casino, and I enjoyed playing here when I was registered and had the software. I tend to find myself playing more of the mobile, that said. I’m just not convinced it has enough to distinguish it from some of the more attractive modern online casinos.
